Are you in for something new! We are looking for a Global Pricing Director, a very exciting role in which you can really shape the way in which pricing is performed within this global company. Improve the overall performance. The role is a new position and a direct result from the implementation of the Fuel for Growth program.

As Pricing Director, you'll devise the group’s general pricing strategy and direction. Working closely with the Global COO and with the company countries. Enabling the countries to get their local pricing strategies and improvement priorities in place while further developing the global pricing community as an enabler for change and accelerated best practice implementation. Process, tools and especially the people side of pricing are all in scope.

The focus is on getting concrete bottom-line improvements in all countries realized through a professionalized pragmatic approach with diligent follow-up and execution. Both on Price setting and on Price Getting they see opportunities for improvement. Getting new pricing behaviour in the hearts and minds of the local sales organisations is vital for success in this position as is solid digital analytics to make value opportunities transparent.

You’ll report into the Management Board of this company and the Country pricing managers will have a dotted line to you.  At the moment there is no further team centrally and it will need to be evaluated if this is needed in a dedicated form. Our client does have central business control, digital analytics and PMO teams which you’ll be working with close and you can engage resources from.

The ideal candidate brings next to strong pricing and pricing program implementation experience solid (commercial) business leadership with her/him to be able to act as a sparring partner for the, management board, international sales, country commercial and management teams on their commercial strategy and overall company positioning.

Qualifications
  • Masters level degree in Science, Economics or Business
  • MBA or equivalent as an addition is a pre
  • Commercial pricing strategy and model development
  • Data analysis and management capability
  • Team management
  • Change management
  • Market research capability
  • Prior experience as leader of B2B pricing team with a multi-country focus
  • Prior experience as pricing consultant
  • Commercial line management experience or other relevant operational business experience
  • Implementation experience of a new pricing program or , as a minimum commercial excellence program.
Competences
  • Collaborative – Work with our IT, procurement, digital and commercial teams to ensure relevant data-driven pricing recommendations are delivered seamlessly to those who need them
  • Data-driven. – The local teams will source, check and analyse market and internal data to ensure all pricing recommendations are systematically generated with clear logic and live/retrospective traceability
  • Iterative/continuous improvement focused. – You deliver/assure a minimum viable pricing process fast and then iterate from then with regular incremental improvements
  • Pragmatic – Challenge existing constraints and barriers but also work to find solutions within them until the barriers are removed
