Position
Your role as a Pricing Manager is to initiate and deliver pricing related projects, data and advice. This is a high-profile role with frequent interaction with partners and the management of the firm. This international firm works on high-end cases and always aim to obtain the best result for their clients. Making legal spend more predictable and controllable for clients is their highest priority. To this end, they are looking for a talented and driven Pricing Manager with innovative views on pricing and alternative fee arrangements. Someone who can make good commercial analyses and thrives in an international setting.
You are responsible for accurately pricing the services they offer to clients. You will provide guidance to lawyers regarding pricing, including the firm's pricing strategy, the relevant processes and the execution of the strategy. You also train and coach our lawyers on the execution of the strategy.
You take an active role in assisting and advising on pricing-related topics in ongoing matters, including identifying ways on how to solve potential issues. You contribute to the continuous improvement in the efficiency of our legal services towards the client. Your main duties include interpreting requirements within RFPs to develop the pricing approach, additional analyses and support for selected client teams, highlighting areas of concern, regular communication with client relationship partners and analyse results on matter, client and firm level.
The role requires an analytical and strategic approach and a high degree of business acumen and you must have experience of influencing decision makers and have the confidence to explain and justify proposals. You will be part of the Business Development team, which consists of experts in various sub-teams, such as Client Development, International Relations, Business Research, CRM, Communications, Editorial Services, Design Services and Events.

Qualifications
We are looking for a candidate with a relevant background for this role, ranging from consultancy to business analyses and pricing. Services industry sector experience is a bonus but not a necessity. Furthermore, the ideal candidate:
- is degree qualified in a relevant area (including but not limited to law, MBA, economy, econometrics) or is able to demonstrate comparable experience
- is interested in the professional services environment and/or in the legal services market
- is an excellent communicator (both verbal and in writing) with the ability to truly connect with people
- has relevant work experience and seniority
- practical commercial experience in pricing and/or negotiations, with an understanding of various pricing models (e.g. alternative fee arrangements, risk sharing)
- is positive and works towards finding solutions to problems
- is trustworthy, flexible, and able to build professional relationships and to adjust to changing situations
- possesses excellent analytical skills and can collect and analyse complex historical data in order to make pricing decisions. Experience with business intelligence tools preferred
- can further develop the pricing function within our organisation
- is fluent in Dutch and English
