Position
The Revenue Management team is responsible for the pricing, contracting and continuous revenue and margin optimization of this organization global topline. The team consists of several global roles based out of the The Hague global headquarters, as well as regional roles in North America, Latin America, Europe, Africa & Middle East and Asia, and a global support team in India.
Apart from looking after the topline on a day-to-day basis, the Revenue Management function will undergo an exciting transformation in the coming years, with several strategic initiatives to improve its foundation (data, technology, processes, governance) about to be kicked off, all aimed at delivering sustainable revenue and margin improvements from new, innovative and more systemized ways of pricing and capacity management.
One of these strategic initiatives is the development of a global commercial data and analytics platform that will span across our global network of terminals and which will provide granular and scalable insights into our customers and their behavior. Pricing and revenue management data and analytics will form the backbone of the platform, but apart from revenue and margin optimization, insights will be leveraged for new product development and to improve our marketing and sales cycles.

They are currently looking for a Product Owner Commercial Data & Analytics to join the global revenue and data management team at our headquarters in The Hague, The Netherlands.
- In this role, you will be part of the global revenue and data management leadership team, reporting to the global head of revenue and data management.
- As product owner, you will be responsible and empowered to define the overall commercial data and analytics platform vision, strategy and roadmap, and the delivery thereof.
- You will be responsible for defining requirements with end-users and other stakeholders across the commercial function, and translate these requirements into high-quality epics, features and user stories.
- In your role, you are a member of a highly collaborative commercial data and analytics SCRUM team, along with the scrum master, the engineering lead and a development team of data engineers and data scientists, and you will be the commercial focal point for the Customer MDM Product Owner.
- You will set, review and refine the business priorities and planning for the platform development, prioritize the backlog of user stories, and continuously guide the SCRUM team using agile ways of working.

Qualifications
- You are a transport and logistics enthusiast!
- You are a Certified Scrum Product Owner
- You have at least 7 years of relevant experience in commercial roles dealing with data, analytics and business intelligence, including as Data Product Owner. Domain expertise in pricing, contracting and revenue/yield management is strongly preferred.
- You have a deep understanding of how data and analytics can create opportunities in the commercial space, and what it takes to get there.
- You listen and collaborate to understand requirements, but you also help end-users and other stakeholders to understand and paint a picture of what the future of commercial data and analytics could look like. You are a true and trusted data and analytics business partner to them.
- Although you won’t engineer the platform yourself, you have a true passion for and solid knowledge of modern data and analytics architecture, engineering and technologies.
- You combine your understanding of user requirements, your vision for the future and knowledge of data and analytics technologies to guide the SCRUM team in an engaging and clear way, thereby creating a platform that allows the company to turn data into commercial value on an ongoing basis.
