The Strategic Pricing Manager Europe will be responsible for developing, implementing, and managing the pricing strategies for Europe. This role requires a deep understanding of the market dynamics, competitive landscape, and customer insights to create pricing models and structures that optimize revenue, profitability, and market competitiveness.

Key Responsibilities
1. Developing the EU Pricing Strategy
- Market Analysis: Analyze market trends, competitive landscape, and customer insights to identify pricing opportunities and challenges.
- Strategy Development: Develop pricing strategies aligned with business goals, market dynamics, and portfolio objectives.
2. Setting Up the Pricing Structure
- Pricing Structure: Establish a pragmatic and clearly defined pricing structure that optimizes revenue, profitability, and market competitiveness while preventing margin erosion and exposure risk.
- Pricing Bandwidths: Define clear pricing bandwidths for products and services across all markets, channels, and customer types based on cost analysis, value proposition, and market positioning.
- Reporting: Provide regular reporting to indicate areas of opportunity and risk with the current pricing levels.
3. Defining Discount Structures
- Guidelines and Policies: Develop discounting guidelines, policies, and approval processes to ensure consistency and compliance with the pricing strategy.
- Impact Analysis: Analyze the impact of discount programs on sales, margins, and customer behavior, adjusting strategy as needed.
4. Performing Internal & External Pricing Analyses
- Performance Monitoring: Monitor pricing performance and conduct internal analyses to optimize pricing decisions, maximize revenue, and maintain margins.
- Portfolio Analysis: Analyze the product portfolio across countries to identify white spots and opportunities to improve pricing across the portfolio.
- Margin Analysis: Identify where product margins are being eroded due to suboptimal pricing practices.
- Benchmarking: Analyze what drives differences in prices between countries, products, or customers and benchmark against the competition.
5. Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Communication: Communicate the pricing strategy and structures across the organization and keep stakeholders informed.
- Collaboration: Work closely with other teams, including Sales, Product Management, Operations, and Finance, to gather pricing inputs and to validate pricing bandwidths and discount structures for each country.
- Support and Guidance: Provide pricing support and guidance to commercial teams, helping them to understand the pricing strategy and increase profitability.

Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business, Economics, Finance, or a related field. Master’s degree preferred.
- Experience: At least 5 years of experience in pricing strategy, commercial analysis, or a related role in an international setting.
- Skills:
- Strong analytical and quantitative skills with the ability to interpret complex data and make data-driven decisions.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for cross-functional collaboration.
- Proficiency in pricing software, financial modeling, and statistical analysis tools.
